Pat Hobbs

Pat Hobbs died today (18th November). She had been ill for some years but, after many treatments, doctors were unable to do more. She was 71.

Pam became involved with Fenprobe when she became involved with Richard! His father and mother, former President, Maurice and Joyce, held readings in their sitting room and after Richard and Pat married, they picked up the baton. Pat joined in and planned many fund raising events, including theatrical events. She was Secretary for some years and was also a reader. She never lost her interest in Fenprobe, even though parenting and her job as School Secretary at City of Ely College meant she had to give up her active role. Had she not been ill for many years she would have returned to Fenprobe in some capacity, but it was not to be.

Pat was a friendly, outgoing person with a lovely smile. Those who came to our 40th Birthday Celebration would have met her then, when she made a great effort to come with Richard for the celebration. She was a very efficient Secretary for Fenprobe and obviously a great team member.
