TWO FUN NIGHTS RAISE £530!!-

Volunteer recording technician, Adam Faber, who plays the accordion, arranged two fund raising events for Fenprobe at his favourite pub, The King's Arms in St. Mary's Street, Ely.   Landlady Bridget Everitt, whose late mother had once received Fenprobe tapes, enthusiastically backed Adam's plans for a Rock n' Roll evening with himself playing the accordion and accompanied by Ely's Rocking Ukuleles.  The event held on 25th May was a great success and raised £110.

A Quiz Night followed on 7 June with Fenprobe volunteers, Chris Clark, Maureen Fresco, Alwyn Hall, Rosemary Hews and Jim Sartain up against nine other teams.  Casting a veil over their final result, sufficient to say a good time was had by all.The winning team donated their winnings, plus the current kitty donated by regulars and Bridget presented Fenprobe Secretary, Janet Smith, with a cheque for £420
All the volunteers were stunned at the amount raised and Janet, once she got her breath back, thanked Bridget, the King's Arms staff and everyone who had contributed. She said the money would be well used, either as a contribution to rent or to buy equipment.
