When Rachel Legge's loved Grandad, Albert Turner, died last year, the family made a generous donation to Fenprobe funds. But Rachel wanted to do something herself for the organisations who had helped both her Nanna and Grandad. She decided to run a half marathon being held at St. Albans in June.
She said "I know my Grandad thoroughly enjoyed listening to the talking news service as he loved to keep up to date with the local news and always looked forward to receiving a new cassette in the post. It will be nice to donate to two charities (The Alzheimer's Society and Fenprobe TN), which i know helped both my Nanna and Grandad in their later lives."
Rachel successfully completed the half marathon and donated half her sponsorship, £130, to Fenprobe. This was kindly matched by her firm, so that Fenprobe benefitted by £260, which will contribute to the continuation of this valued service.
